I hate showering. I find them such a waste of time. Eating into my day when I’d rather be doing anything else.

Normally that is. In Asia, I love showering. Constantly sweaty and overheating; showers have become a joyful occurrence rather than a necessary annoyance.

In Asia, the everyday necessary annoyance of a shower has been replaced by the everyday necessary annoyance of packing and unpacking my life into and out of a 60 litre backpack. It’s strange how such a vital item can simultaneously be such a burden. I have a love/hate relationship with this bastard bag and I’m only five weeks in…. uh oh
